Obtaining technical support for the Staff Learning Platform

As we only have a very small team working on Advance 365, we regret that we are unable to offer support by telephone. All support is provided by email on support@advance365.com. Every effort will be made to respond to requests for assistance within 24 hours but please allow longer outside office hours and during holiday periods.

Before requesting assistance, there are a few things you may want to check:

Registration

The Advance 365 Staff Learning Platform has a self-registration process. Simply click on 'Registration' from the front page menu and follow the instructions. It will normally take up to 24 hours to set up your courses and the system will then send you an email confirming your login details. Please note that you should only submit valid Avanta, InBiz or TNG emails for validation on the staff site.

Flash and Acrobat

Some courses require the Adobe FLASH PLAYER and notes are often provided in PDF format which requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader. Both these programs are already on most modern PCs. If for some reason they have been removed, you can download and install them from www.adobe.com in just a couple of minutes. Please note that in some Avanta centres you will need administrator access to do this - if in doubt, contact the ICT helpdesk in the usual way.

Sound

Make sure that the sound on your PC is enabled and that the speakers are switched on.

Running e-Learning on Laptops and old PCs

Most e-learning is optimised to run on screens with a resolution of 1024 x 768. Some small screen laptops and old PCs may be set to less than this. Ideally, try to complete courses on a fast PC with 17 inch monitor at least.

Browsers

Courses should run well in ALL browsers. However, some browsers (including Internet Explorer) have so may user-customisable options that your browser may be set to block some programs. If in doubt, try re-setting the browser to its default settings.

Popups

Your browser may also be set to block popups. If you run an additional search bar such as Google, then this may also block pop-ups. (Double protection). Look for the yellow bar at the top of the browser to unblock pop-ups.

Lost Password

If you lose your password, just click on 'Lost Password' on the front of the site - enter your email address and the system will send you your login details.
